Getting Tate to Remove Amazon Listings

Posted on: Sat, 01/21/2017 - 09:57 By: audreymaye

Anyone have ideas or suggestions about how to get Tate to remove the listing of our books on Amazon.com? They have made it clear they are going out of business, but people can still currently buy our books on Amazon and the money will go to Tate, who will obviously not be sending us any royalties for those purchases. If we choose not to sign the form Ryan Tate put on the website ending our contract, will Tate still have the right to sell our books online?  What can we do to keep this from happening?

Now I've not tested this process, but you can file a complaint with Amazon for Infringement. I'm not even sure if this is the correct method to take down these listings.

On a different point, the distribution of books was outsourced to Lightning Source, and Ingram Publisher. You can contact them to see what options are available. There were other distribution points for Hardcover books as well, but I don't have their information readily available.

I received no royalties at all despite knowing people who had bought my book. They included promotional activities for the life of my book but that resulted in only 3 promotions. One a closed down cafe, another a second hand book store and the third a small cafe near my home. They also took down my Tate web site which I paid for, without telling me. I made numerous complaints about wanting proof of sales and none were ever answered. Additionally they never answered my numerous complaints . They are crooks, they did not fulfill the promised obligations that I paid for

I find it fascinating that my book site on Amazon lists over 40 books up for resale and yet Amazon has listed only 20 some odd sales since they have been selling my book. Beware your sales may be higher by Tate selling your book to others and not informing you.

I have contacted a lawyer to start a class action lawsuit. Anyone who is interested in joining please let me know. The more people we have the easier it will be to get them to accept the case. This firm has never lost a case.

I have not received hardly any royalties and I know they have sold many singles of mine in fact I was in front of friends who downloaded it on their phones right in front of me in October I have not received anything from from Tate . I also have a receipt for CDs of mine that I have purchased on my credit card which also has a receipt totaling $80 and I have not receive.received any CDs I ordered in November I cannot contact anyone from Tate . I would be willing to go in on the lawsuitlawsuit action . troysmadness@aol.com

My name is Christopher Sharp. My book, "The Last Ticket" released in October of 2015 through Tate. I've always known something was up with this publisher from the moment I first contacted them but had no idea the extent of the arrogance and greed they possessed. I'm in and have every email they ever sent me for the last year and a half (if that evidence would help in any way) along with my story.

Chris

I have the same original question. How do we get our book off of Amazon? I sent them a seller email and am waiting to hear back.

I would be interested as well. I have yet to terminate with Tate Publishing. Should I go ahead and do so and still be involved in the lawsuit?

I would be interested in joining the class action lawsuit. Also would like to know how to get my book down from Amazon, until I republish. Tate seems to have screwed a good number of people.

I am interested. I spoke with Mr. Richard Tate at Christmas time. My children were paying off my "Publisher for Life" contract so I could publish all seven of my books in the "Enoch's Children" fiction series. He gladly accepted the money and assured we would move forward quickly with the publication of books 2 and 3. I can't help but believe he knew the firm was closing its doors even as he accepted my children's money for the publication of the books.

I am interested in class action. Whatever is being put together needs to be put together as quickly as possible. The longer this drags on the less likely anything will be done and they know that.

I am not related to Tate Publishing Tates, and am ashamed they share my name. I was also one of their victims.
Answer: I did and amazon cooperated totally in shutting down sales of my novel.
